The Plenary Session included the President's Report, the presentation and ratification of Region 02 Tourism Council Constitution and By-Laws, presentation and approval of the Vision and Mission of the council, the approval of the amended Logo, Treasurer’s Report and Call to action by the R02TC Chairperson Cecilia LM Dy, Ph.D., Hon. Jay L. Diaz, Mayor of Ilagan presented the challenging Tourism Best Practices of Ilagan City. Mr. Ronald Costales manager of Costales Nature Farm Mahayhay, Laguna presented Farm Tourism prospects that opened everyone’s creative mind for a possible Tourist attraction even within your own backyard.
The “It’s More fun in the Philippines campaign” garnered top 3 best in the whole of the Asia Pacific Region. It offers job opportunities to hotles, beach resorts, restaurants, etc. Hence, she challenged Region 2's Tourism Council to continue to work hard because there is hope for a wider avenue of economic boom in Tourism especially with the opening of the Lal-lo International Airport.
Once again, the assembly put a stronger cement on Region 2’s Tourism Council who in return renewed its commitment to support the objectives of the organization for the improvement of the economic activity and livelihood of the people of Region 02.
Participants to said assembly are members to Lal-lo’s Tourism Council (Ms. Leizl Quiocho, Tourism Officer Designate, Executive Asst. Simeon Israel, Jr., Profetiza Daniel, Cherilyn Corpuz, Leonida Salvador, Alelli Macatiag, Romelyn Romero and other members to the Municipal Tourism Council to include Board Member Maria Olivia B. Pascual, Vice Chair, Tourism Council, Region 02 on Promotion and Development.)
The booth of each province added attraction to the Assembly with their locally produced products on sale.#
