As part of Disaster Preparedness, LGU Lal-lo organized its own local responders called Lal-lo Rescue Team 35 (LRT 35) to effectively anticipate, respond to and recover from the impacts of likely, imminent or current hazard events or conditions that may occur in the municipality.

Thru an executive order, LRT 35 is composed  of 20 volunteers mostly coming from the different departments of the LGU who successfully completed the Water Search and Rescue Training Course (WaSAR) conducted by the Office of Civil Defence-R02, PCCDRRMO Cagayan thru RESCUE 29 and the Philippine Red Cross, Cagayan Chapter in coordination with LGU Lal-lo thru the MDRRM Office last August 25-31, 2013 at the Lal-lo National High School.

The seven (7) days WaSAR course aimed to enhance the skills capability of the team and be familiar with standard in First Aid, management, water, flood and Rope Rescue in order to increase their effectiveness and limit liability during emergency operations.
