As part of Disaster Preparedness, LGU Lal-lo organized its own local responders called Lal-lo Rescue Team 35 (LRT 35) to effectively anticipate, respond to and recover from the impacts of likely, imminent or current hazard events or conditions that may occur in the municipality.
Thru an executive order, LRT 35 is composed of 20 volunteers mostly coming from the different departments of the LGU who successfully completed the Water Search and Rescue Training Course (WaSAR) conducted by the Office of Civil Defence-R02, PCCDRRMO Cagayan thru RESCUE 29 and the Philippine Red Cross, Cagayan Chapter in coordination with LGU Lal-lo thru the MDRRM Office last August 25-31, 2013 at the Lal-lo National High School.
The seven (7) days WaSAR course aimed to enhance the skills capability of the team and be familiar with standard in First Aid, management, water, flood and Rope Rescue in order to increase their effectiveness and limit liability during emergency operations.

Mayor Florante “Anteng” C. Pascual emerged as the new President of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) – Cagayan Chapter in an uncontested election held on August 20, 2013 in Gattaran, Cagayan. Although a sole vote was needed to officially declare him as the new leader of the League - being the general rule to proclaim a candidate in any unopposed election, Mayor Pascual was first nominated by Mayor Marjorie L. Salazar of Municipality of Lasam.
The election concluded with 21 total number of votes cast represented by 21 registered Municipal Mayors, that after canvass by the League’s Committee on Elections, it appeared that the following obtained votes for the respective office, the same being the highest number of votes legally cast for said office:

Conditional Cash Transfer Beneficiaries (Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program (4Ps) of Lal-lo incrases from 835 in 2011 to 844 in January 2013, to 883 in April and 878 in august 2013.
According to the assigned Municipal Link, Ms. Lady Anne Dalupang, the increase was made after validation of beneficiaries who were qualified but were not able to attend the community assembly which was undertaken in 2011.
Monthly Pay-Out is being conducted in the municipality through the PhilPost.

LGU Lal-lo has served six elderly as of August 2013 by providing them P/10,000.00 each upon reaching the age of one hundred. Every year thereafter during their birthdays, they are entitled to receive the same amount for the rest of their lives and ends until their eternal death.
This incentive provided to these elderly was made possible through an Executive Order No. 12 series of 2009 which was approved by then Mayor Maria Olivia B. Pascual on December 6, 2009 ( Now Board Member of the 1st Congressional District of Cagayan). “ AN ORDER GRANTING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO ELDERLY WHO REACHES THE AGE OF ONE HUNDRED YEARS (100) AND ABOVE IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF LAL-LO”
This is in accordance to Republic Act 7432 otherwise known as Senior Citizens Law that provides for the protection of senior citizen, grants, benefits and special privileges. It is also in recognition to their vital contribution in nation building.
The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), thru the OIC – MSWDO Mr. Santos B. Sunico, RSW, MPA, shall scrutinize valid documents submitted to prove that they are covered by this executive order, before processing the documents for approval of the LCE and the release of said incentive.

Miss Lal-lo 2013 took place as the highlight and much awaited event in the celebration of the 432nd Patronal Town Fiesta and 13th Cabibi Festival. August 1, 2013 was the day when 17 lovely candidates fed the hunger of naïve sight of the Lal-loqueños at Aladino M. Dupaya Sr. Gymnasium hosted by a stage actor, voice talents & events host, Mr. Will Angeles.
Contestants are judged according to beauty, physical fitness, poise, communication skills, community service (OFW Choice Award), and wardrobe.
The prestigious pageant’s board of judges was comprised of well- known personalities namely: Miss Earth Air 2012 Stefany Steffanowitz (chairman of the board of judges), Mr. Dexter Bagason (lead vocalist of Frequency Band), Mr. Luke Jickain (commercial model), Ms. Jayella Dayag (Aparri District Councilor) and Ms.Lizel Antiporda.
Miss LADY DIANE DANLAG PANLASIGUI, representing the Lal-lo National High School Agency was adjudged as Miss Lal-lo 2013 which has made an effort to ensure that it doesn’t appear as a stereotypical pageant. Minor and special awards that Miss Lal-lo has received are as follows: Best in Regatta Outfit, Miss Telegenic, Best in swimsuit and Best in Evening Gown.
On the other hand, Miss JINKY MANUEL PIRA, representative of the Mayor’s Office was crowned as Miss Lal-lo 1st Runner-up. She was also awarded as Best in Casual Wear & Miss RBC Cable. And Miss PRINCESS GERALDINE FERMIN RAMOS from the SB Member Office took the title as Miss Lallo 2nd Runner-Up with two special Awards: Globe Texter’s Choice Award and Miss Popularity.
The success behind this affair wouldn’t be possible without the creative minds of the pageant organizers namely Mr. Lexter Favor Tarriela (Production Manager), Mr. Anton Pamintuan (Stage Designer), Ms. Lourdes Geronimo (Technical Director), headed by Mr. Rory Relos as the over-all Pageant Director. The gorgeous wardrobe of the candidates during the competition were designed by Nickky Martinez, Marlo Javier, Ramon Depositario, Ricky Abad and Voie Soriano May.
Merely participating in a beauty contest is already a great achievement that any contestants can be proud of.
